#IAppreciateYou

Things just seem to be going from bad to worse, don't you think? People are scared and are feeling a little lost. We are being instructed to stay in our homes, observe self isolation and maintain social distancing. For those not used to being confined to their homes, I know that it might be a difficult adjustment but for those of us who enjoy being at home, it's not all that bad. As long as you have an abundance of snacks, access to an entertainment unit, 1000+ piece puzzle set, board games, art supplies and crosswords, then you should be ok.

Going on social media, scrolling through all the new updates and trying to filter what is real and what isn't can be distressing. Not being able to spend time with the people we love or visit those we miss is heartbreaking and increasing our worry. But being safe is more important and we are living in a digital age where staying in contact with others is easier than ever.

I am taking this time to reflect on the people who have made an impact in my life. To acknowledge the role they've played in making me the person I am today. We cross paths with so many individuals in our life time and with each encounter we experience a change, no matter how small. I want to let these people know that I see them, that I remember them, that I love and cherish them. I want to share the positivity and bring some light into these dark and scary times. And what matters most is to let them know that they are not alone.

Each day, on my social media accounts, I will publish an appreciation post, recognizing these amazing human beings and thanking them for being a part of my life. With each post, I will be signing it with #IAppreciateYou

If you're keen to spread the love and some positive vibes, share your appreciation posts for those who mean the world to you. Use the hashtag and join me in putting a smile on a few faces.

In light of that, I wish everyone well. Wash your hands, stay at home, tell your loved ones that you love them and be safe.
